friday 21st feb

 Hello again, another beautiful sunny Friday knitting session, and we kick off with Carla's beautiful new set of  circular needles ......



A beautiful limited edition boxed set....lots of ladies were cooing and admiring them, lucky lady x




 Carla had also started this beautiful blanket, a blanket of many colours ....
 And many different stitches...can't wait to see it finished.....
 There are always many different things to look at and admire.....
 Including these little crocheted Easter egg baskets .
 Yvonne had knitted this beautiful little jumper with lovely matching green buttons....
 Jan brought along her mothers embroidered cotton holder....
 Beautifully hand embroidered....




And still so useful x

 Had to admire Jan's wicker basket x
 The cake table was groaning today.......
 Beth had made the most gooey  moist chocolatey cake.....
 And Claire-Louise had made a coconut and lime cake......


 There was lots of chatting and discussing of knitting matters.....
 And lots of knitting and displaying of wares........


 There were lots of big hooks around today!
 And some pretty spring flowers graced our tables again....
 As it was half term we had some young members present....
 Who found the big crochet hooks very interesting....
 Everything stopped for tea and cake......



 Cath had crocheted a lovely wooly hat with a flower on the side....


Mandy was still working on her blanket, it's growing!


 There was some avid pom-pom making going on.....

Friday 14th February

 What a wet windy horrible day...but still our lovely ladies ventured out to our knitting club.....but they were rewarded with pear and almond cake with a strudel topping.....
 And a beautiful vicky sponge.
 Carla brought in a lovely  crochet hook case made from a lovely retro fabric...
 With a huge hook.......for big crocheting....
 There was lovely colours everywhere...
 A new batch of crochet hats from Carla....
 Hesta brought in her needle-felt fairys...she runs needle-felt work shops she can be contacted here at Green Glamour.
 We had some new mini bunting hanging on out chandelier.....
 Hesta had anew batch of crochet and knitting bags....
 Beth was busy chunky knitting a pouffe......
 We all marvelled over Carla's light up hooks for working in poor light and the dark...very useful for the compulsive hookers amongst us.
 We have pretty potted plants on the tables today...bits of spring to cheer us all up.....
 Everyone was chatting and laughing and it was warming and cheerful..we were trying to ignore the weather outside....
 But then wool cheers everyone up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


 Alison was busy knitting fishes and lickel piggies......
 We all ohhed and arrhed at a Kaffe Fassett book......
 The colours within were echoed in Hestas shawl......
 And the cake table ended up in a riot of yellow......
 With our big yellow tea pot cheering us all up.......

7th Feb

 Hello again, it was a lovely sunny session this week after a week of awful rain and seas crashing, we have had some minor flooding here in Sidmouth....but it was back to "Sunny" Sidmouth for us.....Lynne one of our newest members was working on a bright stripy granny stripe blanket....
 Vivian was still busy on her cable pocket jumper....



and wearing a jumper she knitted thirty years ago made from wool from the Falkland Islands!
 Rebecca showed us this darling little jacket and hat set, with triangular coloured buttons...
 We were very happy to see Cindy back with us and VERY envious of her beautiful chunky grey cable jumper.......
 Carla came in with a new assortment of hats!!!!....with beautiful handmade button details
 And a delicate rainbow shawl......
 Betty had knitted some absolutely beautiful babies outfits......

 Margaret was busy knitting blankets for the hospital unit.....
 As well as teeny tiny layettes for premature babies x 
 Beth baked BEAUTIFUL fruits of the forest meringues........


 What a treat!


 Mandy and Cath were busy crocheting granny blankets and mittens...do you think it's cold!
 We have lots of wool and  knitting needles for any ladies to borrow, any left over wool is put on the table for  anyone  to use x
 Jan helped a lady fit a wonderful knitted cardigan....
