Welcome...come and see what we got up to this Friday.........
There were some beautiful vintage patterns, including these stunning 1940 ones graciously added to our....
free table.....any odds and sods cluttering up your work basket can be placed here for someone else to make use of...one knitters trash is another knitters treasure....
Margaret showed us her daughter-in-laws beautiful machine embroidery pictures, find more information here .... https://www.facebook.com/JulieFrenchTextiles x
Rebecca showed us her finished "fake" cable babies tank top....
Alison the brooches she made after a workshop run by Hesta of Bodkin, at Mill Street Crafts....
teaching us to make these delightful brooches based on an original 1940's , she can be contacted at http://green-glamour.blogspot.co.uk
Carla had started a new project...her beautiful starburst rug...
Betty was still busy knitting for the prem unit...just look at the beautiful booties...how cute are they!
Carla brought some beautiful sari silk for us to look at.....
Kristina showed us the jumper she had designed and knitted herself....
And Carla also showed us her felted basket...she really is the most prolific crocheter/knitter we have..I wonder when she gets time to sleep!
There was a lovely atmosphere in the hall this week...although we are growing bigger we are still retaining a lovely friendly atmosphere..everyone is eager to help each other and talk about their projects...
A rich gooey chocolate cake, a apricot and pistachio cake and Hestas yummy flapjacks
Yvonne was busy winding yarn.........
Was fascinating watching it whirl around.......
What a useful machine!
and we all stopped for tea and cake at 11......a little breather........
Then it was back to business....... there were beautiful coloured crochet hooks to admire.......
Hesta's fisherman presided over the goings on.....
There were lots of new faces ........
and we hope we see them all again soon.....x x x x x
Claire received lots of plastic knitting needles to make more knitting needle bracelets.....
and people were busy learning new skills...
Here is a behind the scenes picture of the organizers...Beth, Hesta and Claire busy doing the washing up!
