friday 17th, july

Welcome to this weeks knitting eggstravaganza! So glad you could pop in to see us again....
Jan brought in some of her "homegrown" eggs...
But it was Beth who got us all a clucking  with her extreme knitting... her needles were 24mm x 500 mms!
She had made her own yarn...
From wool roving (tops)
Most of us ladies had never seen the like of it...
It obviously takes a lot of heavy concentration....(I think she will kill me for that photo lol)
Betty was working on baby blue garter stitch goodies for Exeter baby care unit..such a good cause...
As are  Catherine's teeny weeny bobble hats knitted for Innocent Smoothies Age Concern campaign..keep an eye out for them in shops  later in the year
Mandy was making miniature pom poms to top them off...
Using the fork winding method..
Cindy was still on the lacy shawls....
Claire had started a granny crochet blanket...
And Alison was working on a new arrivals baby blanket...as soft as a cloud...
Our old favourites sweat peas graced the tables..
along with miniature pink wild roses...
and cosmos x
cakes this week were....
Lemon and lavender drizzle cake...
Beth's most amazing raspberry meringues
And a rustic love heart pie of tayberries and rhubarb which just exploded with flavour in your mouth, it was seriously awesome....
Here we all are hard at work enjoying our selves...why don't you come along and join us...till next week ..and happy crafting x
