Welcome to another Sidmouth Knit Cafe  session...

Today was a lovely little session, a few of our ladies had already left for their summer holidays....

which just meant more cake for the rest of us!!!!

Beth was working on a little cardigan,  for someone who has yet to have their birthday..but it's expected very shortly..within the next two weeks!

Fliss was making an adorable cat rag rug hanging..

It looks a very colourful project!

Doreen was hard at work with a very delicate crochet mat....its incredibly fine and very neat!

Cath and Alison were very hard at work trying to decipher the pattern for making baby socks...

On only two needles!!!!

It was taking alot of concentration! But we are confident they will get there in the end!
Claire brought in some jams ....

Elderflower, Wild Honeysuckle, Earl Grey and Cherry Beer with wild cherries...

And brought in a selection of cake stands to show the ladies that she had made.
We had some V.I.P 's attending this session..Who helped set up and serve the cakes...

They also got down to some knitting.....

And showed some of us ladies up!
Today was a bit of a cake fest !

We had white chocolate and lavender gluten free shortbread...
Gooey wooey chocolate brownies...

Some muffins and some currant cake and last but not least....

The star of the show...Beth's orange marmalade and cinnamon cake which was divine.
As its the summer holidays the knit cafe closes but we still meet in the coffee shop across the road, so you are still welcome to pop along and join us..just follow the sound of needles clacking and ladies chattering.
We will also be having a stall outside the meeting hall during the Folk Festival so please pop along and see what handmade goodies we will have for sale..We will still be blogging over the holidays when possible so please keep popping over to see us,. Till next time and Happy Crafting x x x
