Friday 24th January

Welcome to this weeks knitting adventures in Sidmouth....every one was busy, busy, busy and knitting away.....some were so clever they didn't even have to look! Carla had been making these beautiful cloche hats complete with crochet flower........
Ans a rainbow of delicate shawls.......

Marian showed us progress on this wonderful cable throw, when completed she has just enough wool left to do a matching cushion, it's so neat and I am afraid the pictures do not do it justice...
We had the bunting up again to cheer us up on this rainy day and some crocheted edged signs with a tea and knitting theme

A very clever mummy knitting and reading stories at the same time....it's lovely when children pop in, hope they suck up the creative atmosphere and that our ladies will inspire them.....
Mandy brought in an unfinished hessian backed wool rug and passed it on to someone who will hopefully finish it off.
Beths legendary jumper!!!!!!!! this is two years worth of knitting using lots of her favourite yarn ends.....it's had various reincarnations and today what you see above is sadly no more...its been unpicked gain and is now a ball ...waiting to be reincarnated again.....one day...she may actually finish it! I suggested around 2017 and she said I was being optimistic!
We had amazing cakes but I forgot to photograph them...A mixed fruit of the forest tray bake, gooey chocolate brownies and a lemon coconut cornflake cake which was amazing when dunked in tea! This beautiful piece of embroidery will one day be an apron dress.
And one lady was given this beautiful doiley bunting as a Christmas present and brought it in to show everyone . Hope you enjoyed a little look at our weekly knitting session..see you next week!
